ABC Volunteers

Are you interested in meeting new people, building new skills and supporting others to reach their potential?

Our ABC Programme is undergoing a period of growth and we have exciting volunteering opportunities in a range of areas –  face-face, online and resource/administrative support.

We would love to hear from you if you have experience, or an interest in, supporting people with Down’s syndrome to build their communication skills through a range of fun and engaging activities. We work with individuals from birth up to adulthood – using Makaton, songs, stories, play-based activities, structured communication and literacy approaches. We are now keen to offer more face-face events after moving to an online model during the pandemic. If you have experience in this area or are keen to learn new skills, we are looking for enthusiastic volunteers in all parts of Scotland to help us make these exciting new plans a reality!

Full training and support will be given. Please complete the below application form and send it to abc@dsscotland.org.uk, or contact katy@dsscotland.org.uk to arrange an informal chat.
