Regular Events

5’s & Under Group 

This group is a great opportunity for families of young children with DS to get together. Parents, siblings, grandparents and other carers are welcome! Although this is called the ‘5s and Under’ group, this is also open to children who are transitioning to Primary School and those who have delayed entry to school.

The children get to play and build friendships early on in a child-friendly soft play area. Siblings also get to meet other siblings and other children with DS. Adults get the chance to have some tea while sharing valuable information and support. We aim to provide a sense of community and belongingness for everyone in the group.

This group is held monthly in different venues throughout the local area, it is generally on a Sunday but has varying times depending on location and availability.

School Age Group

A new group that is in the early stages of planning; There will be regular meet ups throughout the year, with different activities and venues.

If you have a child who falls in the age group of 5-18 attending school then we would love to see all the families at any of the activities that we plan this year, if you have a child that are in their final year of nursery then you are welcome to attend any suitable events (as this will hopefully help with the transition to primary school.)  To find out more details please email michellehargie@btinternet.com

Ten Pin Bowling Group

This is a great evening for teenagers and young adults to attend on the first Friday of every month. This is a chance for people to build new or continue friendships they made in school.

Anne Rodger has organised this group for many years and it has become quite popular.  It’s held at two different venues, either at Codonas in Aberdeen or Garioch Bowling in Inverurie.
