Tuesday Lunchtime Talks

We are hosting a series of lunchtime talks, these sessions are aimed at supporting healthcare professionals to increase their awareness of specific health conditions that can potentially affect people with Down’s syndrome.

The talks take place on the last Tuesday of every month between 12.30pm – 1pm.

  • 30th April – Dr Elizabeth Herrieven – Presentations of serious acute illness in children with Down’s syndrome
  • 28th May – Maggie Woodhouse – Vision in Children with Down’s syndrome
  • 25th June – Dr Nashwa Matta – Neonatal pathway for babies born with Down’s syndrome
  • 30th July – Peter Gillet – Coeliac in children with Down’s syndrome
  • 27th August – Dr Lizzie Hill – Obstructive Sleep Apnoea in adults with Down’s syndrome
  • 24th September – Karen Watchman – Dementia and Ageing in Adults with Down’s syndrome
  • 29th October – Karen Hunter – Hearing checks in children with Down’s syndrome
  • 26th November – Dr Jason Lang – Down’s syndrome and Neurodiversity
