World Down Syndrome Congress 2018
In July 2018 we will welcome the world Down syndrome community to Glasgow, when we host the World Down Syndrome Congress. Over 1,300 people will attend the Scottish Event Campus over four days, with workshops, meet the expert sessions, presentations and talks by people with Ds, people working with them and by researchers and medics. In total over 100 sessions to choose from.
A number of people with Down’s syndrome in Scotland are preparing to be either Commissioners or Hosts for the Congress and will play a vital role in ensuring that those attending have a truly great experience.
We’re all looking forward to welcoming the world – even Scotland’s First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon. Watch her being interviewed by one of our Lead Commissioners, Andrew MacIntyre. After that, see our other Lead Commissioners – Stuart and Sam, appearing in the Handover Ceremony at the last Congress in Chennai, India in August 2015. Finally, see Glasgow in all its glory basking in sunshine.
See you in Glasgow!
