Sunday Family Group
The group runs every second Sunday of the month. It is a great opportunity to be around people who are in the same situation as you, understand what you are going through, and share valuable insights and suggestions that can help you and your child. It is also a good opportunity to have tea, snacks and lunch together and have a chat.
Children 5 and under with DS, and their siblings (any age) can attend and play together. Children who are also in transition to P1, and those with delayed entry to school, are most welcome, as well. Other family members are welcome to attend. It’s a good opportunity for them to understand DS more.
Where: The Beacon Centre, Keppleshills Road, Bucksburn, ABERDEEN, AD21 5DG. We use the GP Room upstairs.
When: It starts at 10:30 am and usually wraps up at 1 pm, but we can stay in the room until 1:30 pm.
A fun session for children & adults with Down’s Syndrome & other additional support needs, anyone from age 7 upwards is welcome.
Come along and enjoy some exercise, to cool tunes, at your own pace. These sessions will be fun & enjoyable for all abilities to join in, including parents/carers & siblings.
Clubbercise classes will be held in semi darkness and the music will be slightly lower than a regular class, but with all the fun still there.

Ten Pin Bowling Group
This is a great evening for teenagers and young adults to attend on the first Friday of every month. This is a chance for people to build new or continue friendships they made in school.
Anne Rodger has organised this group for many years and it has become quite popular. It’s held at two different venues, either at Codonas in Aberdeen or Garioch Bowling in Inverurie.
