Family Support Team
Our Family Support Team offers information and support for people with Down’s syndrome and their families at every age and stage of life across Scotland. We also provide training to Health and Education professionals who support people with Down’s syndrome and work with Universities and Colleges to help shape the minds and practices of future professionals.
All of our efforts right now are focused on supporting families who have a child, young person or adult who has Down’s syndrome. We are currently providing remote support to over 1,000 people with Down’s syndrome, their families, carers and professionals across Scotland. We have launched a new 8am to 8pm helpline and a secure online community platform (Hub 21) to keep our community connected during this difficult time.
Our specialist Team are available to answer any questions you may have either by phone, email or video chat. You can contact us on our new helpline, open from 8am – 8pm Monday to Thursday (8am – 5pm Friday), on 0300 030 2121 or by email at FamilySupportService@dsscotland.org.uk.
If you are a member you can access additional support and resources on Hub 21. You can read more about this exciting new platform here.
