World Down Syndrome Congress 2018 Volunteer Commissioners




wdsc-2018-logo-imageThe World Down Syndrome Congress (WDSC) is coming to Glasgow in July 2018.









We are looking for 9 adults with Down’s syndrome to join the team of Commissioners for the WDSC.







If you are interested in getting involved you will need to fill in an application form and take part in an interview.







The work will start in August. If you are selected to be a Commissioner you will have to go to regular meetings for training.








As a Commissioner you will have important jobs to do like telling people about the Congress. We will help you to get to know the SECC so you can show people where to go during the event.






The training programme will involve lots of tasks and challenges. You will learn new skills and keep a record of everything you do in your log book.




During the Congress you will stay in a hotel in Glasgow with the Down’s Syndrome Scotland team. You will be involved in lots of activities and events.




You may be asked to take part in the opening ceremony, give a talk and introduce speakers. talk



You may also help with sessions as part of the programme for adults with Down’s syndrome.
