Our 12th Annual General Meeting

Date: 17th December 2020

Dear Member,

Please find below our formal notice that the Annual General Meeting of Down’s Syndrome Scotland will be held by video conference on Saturday 23rd January 2021 at 2:30pm.  You are most welcome to attend.

Our calendar of formal events this year has been stretched by the pandemic.  We would otherwise have expected to hold this meeting at the end of November but our auditors in particular had to reschedule their plans and indeed conduct nearly all of their work remotely.

You will see that we are proposing a number of changes to our Articles of Association – the document which brings us to life. The additional information linked to this notice should provide all the detail you may find useful.

It is perhaps fitting that our AGM has been delayed into 2021.  We enter the new year with a sense of accomplishment for all that your Charity has achieved in this most challenging of years but also with a great feeling of optimism that we have renewed much of what we do and how we do it.  Our purpose has never been clearer and our commitment to supporting the whole of the Down’s syndrome community in Scotland has never been stronger.

I look forward to welcoming you to the AGM if you are able to attend and, in the meantime, offer you the warmest of good wishes for a safe and peaceful Christmas.

Stuart Macintyre

Chair of the Board of Trustees

Details of all our Trustees are also available here.

Down’s Syndrome Scotland members that wish to join us should e-mail AGM@dsscotland.org.uk before close of business on Wednesday 20th January to allow a link to be sent to you for the virtual meeting.
