Research into smartphone and smartwatch support for people with Down’s Syndrome

Date: 24th August 2017

Al Majed Khan is a doctoral student at University Of Strathclyde and is researching how mobile and wearable devices can support people with Down’s syndrome. As part of this research he is going to be running a series of research workshops with parents, carers, those who work or are otherwise involved in supporting people with Down’s Syndrome.
These workshops are part of his initial investigation into the potential support for cognitive issues of people with Down’s syndrome. It will investigate how mobile and wearable devices can be used to support daily activities. These sessions will focus on your experiences and suggestions for possible support technologies.
If you live with, work with or otherwise support someone with Down’s syndrome it would be great if you could join us for a workshop. The will last 2 hours maximum and we are planning for 12-16 people attending each workshop. The workshops will be held on Strathclyde’s Glasgow City Centre campus just off Georges Square.
I am trying to arrange the workshops at convenient times, so please visit http://bit.ly/DSWG1 and let me know when is convenient for you.
I have attached a full participant information sheet for your information, please also feel free to mail me if you have any questions.
Please see below participants information sheet for more information.
If you are interested in taking part in this research or would like more information please email Al Majed Khan directly, on majed.khan@strath.ac.uk.
