Mark McDougall- Day 1!
Date:11th April 2016
Reached here 8.25 hours after leaving Milngavie, and my legs and feet were glad it wasn’t a minute more!
Having spent the last few days very consciously trying to avoid the possibility of any challenge-stopping injury, I was very glad to get on my way this morning.
The weather was kind, and The Way was quite quiet with walkers but popular with trail runners. I started to flag coming up Conic Hill, but thoughts about our wee Amy gave me a wee burst of energy.
Unfortunately this couldn’t quite see me through to the “finish line”, and the last 3 miles into Rowardennan were quite a slog.
However, I have had a lovely tea, and with (hopefully) a good nights sleep ahead I should be raring to go again in the morning.
