Our Family Support Service Team offers a variety of training for teaching, non-teaching and play staff to ensure that additional support needs of children and young people who have Down's syndrome are being met inclusively, appropriately and effectively.
We are currently offering a training course in February for the Glasgow region to ensure professionals and carers feel confident to meet the additional support needs of children and young poeple with Down's syndrome.
Alternatively, we can deliver training at professionals' and carers' establishments to a maximum of 20 staff.
Some training topics:
- Possible health issues
- Consideration of future care needs for adults with Down's syndrome
- Supporting adults with Down's syndrome
- Dementia
