Psychology study about being a parent

A study is being carried out by Psychology student John Niven, supervised by Dr Kerri McPherson and Dr Lisa Kidd, at Glasgow Caledonian University. The aim of this study is to investigate the experiences of parents who have a child or young person between the age of 2 and 18 years, with a long-term condition(s) . Combined with other research, the answers that parents provide will inform future research into the development of support specifically for parents of children and young people with long-term conditions.

The study involves parents taking part in an online discussion forum about their experiences and support needs. This discussion will take place over two to three weeks and it is expected that your overall participation will take between 30 minutes to an hour of your time altogether, over the course of these weeks, depending on how much you would like to contribute to the discussion.

If you would like more information about the study, or would like to take part, please e-mail John Niven at jniven12@caledonian.ac.uk. John would be pleased to hear from any parents interested in the study and is more than happy to answer any questions about the research.
