Liaising with parents

We know that when parents are viewed as partners in decision making regarding their son or daughter they are more likely to be satisfied with their choice of school for their son or daughter and more supportive of the placement.

Schools should include parents in planning processes such as Individual Education Plans (I.E.P’s) and behavioural support strategies right from the beginning. When this happens parents provide greater support to schools and can share important information, which can support the school on their child to reach their potential.
