Sponsored Walk

The sponsored walk returned to Aberdeen Beach Promenade on Sunday 7th June 2009. Armed with brightly coloured collecting buckets about 60-70 of us braved the elements, just for a change it wasn't -5 degrees C! Sponsered strollers!

The walk took us from Footdee (Fittie to the locals) to the Don estuary and back to fittie, about 4.2 miles.

The Lunch Wagon

With refreshments at the halfway point everyone was determined to make it at least that far!

The buckets were soon rattling with the sound of pennies in them, some more so than others, but every little helps! With £256 collected in the buckets, it was deemed a successful walk with everybody having a good day out.

Sponsor money is still coming in from various people but at the moment our total sum collected is £2,126.00. So hopefully we reach the £2,500!! Not bad for a couple of hours walking at sunny Aberdeen beach! Thank you to all who took part and contributed on the day. See you all next year!
