Young Adults

This section of the web site is for relatives and carers of young adults with Down's syndrome aged 18-29.

Young people with Down's syndrome are keen to take their place within today's society and to access the full range of opportunities available.

They have aspirations about what they want to do with their lives whilst recognising that they need support to achieve their dreams.

After leaving school many young people attend college, usually on a course designed specifically for people with learning disabilities.

Making and maintaining friendships and relationships is a crucial aspect of any young person's life. Support to make arrangements and travel to places will ensure that young people enjoy an active and varied social life with their friends.

We invite all young people with Down's syndrome aged 16 and over to become members of the organisation and encourage them take part in our Making Your Way Through Life project.
