Young children with Down's syndrome respond to cuddles, games and enjoy interacting with their parents and other relatives.
They thrive in a family environment where there is a combination of love and learning, however like all children they also need to experience a variety of social activities such as parent and toddler groups.
Whilst many parents involve their child with Down's syndrome in local community groups, many also choose to get involved with activities run by branches of Down's Syndrome Scotland.
Take a look at our branches pages for more details, there are some great activities going on that you can get involved in.
