National Response to the Abuse of People with Learning Disabilities

Following the BBC Panorama's exposé on the Winterbourne View care home, the Scottish Consortium for Learning Disabilities (of which Down's Syndrome Scotland is a member) is one of the 86 individuals and organisations who have signed and supported the "National Response to the Abuse of People with Learning Disabilities" letter. The letter was sent to the UK Prime Minister David Cameron on Monday 20 June. It provides a summary of the main actions that need to be achieved locally and nationally in order to provide support and services to people with learning disabilities.
